Supervision

Introduction

I work with psychotherapists, counsellors and trainee counsellors. I also have many years’ experience as an external supervisor for people whose role or purpose (activist/voluntary/employed) involves working with people who have experienced trauma, or who are from marginalized communities and experience systemic harms. I deeply appreciate my own clinical supervision, it not only supports me to reflect on my work and my professional and personal development but also supports my wellbeing, and I strive to hold that space for others in my role as a supervisor. I work in an integrative way, and I like to draw upon a range of approaches to support creativity in supervision, my core modality is TA.

I am a Provisional Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analyst (PTSTA). I am UKCP registered psychotherapist and Academic Director of a Counselling Diploma and core tutor on a Transactional Analysis course. I have a Diploma in Supervision.

I work with individuals and groups, both online and outdoors.

There is a field. I'll meet you there.”

Online Supervision

I offer individual and group supervision online.

Individual sessions are for a duration of 1 hour or 1.5 hours, with additional time being negotiated if required.

Individual sessions are normally monthly but can be negotiated depending on what your professional body or training requirements are.

Group sessions are for a duration of three hours for up to three people. These sessions are ongoing.

Supervision Outdoors

Supervision Outdoors can take many forms, whether we find a quiet place to reflect, or take a walk together we have the opportunity to use nature to inform our practice and support our own sustainability and resilience.

Supervision outdoors lasts for a duration of one hour and takes place in a locations that are known to me.

There are some practicalities to working outdoors that we would discuss together during an initial zoom call, such as how to maintain confidentiality, what to do if we meet people or animals and what we will do if the weather gets in the way.

If you are interested in discussing the possibility of clinical supervision, outdoors contact me here and we can set up an introductory call.

Outdoors Group Supervision

I offer seasonal short term group supervision outdoors; the times and dates are set in advance. These groups start in April and run for 6 months. They are a duration of 3 hours long.

In these sessions we use nature to support and guide our awareness of our clinical practice, and also tap into the restorative and healing nature of being outdoors as a way of sustaining ourselves and our practice.

I am now taking bookings for Spring 2025. If you are interested, please contact me by email here.

These groups will only go ahead if there is enough interest.

Location: Mugdock Country Park and environs, North Glasgow.
